Sports lovers, did you know there are twelve (12) professional sports teams located in the Washington, DC Metro Area.
There are five (5) teams/venues located in Washington, DC alone! The venues in DC are accessible by Metro (train system), so you can avoid the hassle of parking.
Sports lovers it doesn’t get any better than that!!
At one time the Washington Redskins played in DC at the legendary RFK Stadium. In 1997, the Redskins moved to Maryland and now play at Fed-Ex Field.
If you are into baseball you are in luck since the Washington, DC Metro Area has two (2) Major League Baseball teams and four (4) Minor League Baseball teams. So have fun with the kids, family or friends, tracking your favorite players in the Minor League to the Major League.
If you are looking to make a day trip, consider a game in Baltimore, MD which is approximately 65 miles from Reston. You can go for either a Ravens football game or an Orioles baseball game. Lunch or dinner at the Inner Harbor is a great start or end to the day!!
